We all know the transition from high school to college is hard enough. Studies show the 53% of freshman college students struggle with time management, while 88% of freshman college students change their methods of how they study and plan out their day. With the college work load you have greater responsibilities and freedom that freshman students are used to. Studies show that not only does college help you manage your time, but work responsibilities do too. Many freshmen struggle with going to college and working. Time management is key. Students should have a set schedule of all the responsibilities they need to take care of for the day. I am a college student who has a job, I set all my responsibilities for the week and separate them throughout the week. If I have work during the week, I plan to get all my school work studies done before I have to go to work. I am better at managing my time now even though the transition is hard.

The most important part about time managing is never forget to make time for yourself. We all hear about college struggles, but we never know until we actually experience it. For example, you have a test and the day before you had school and right after school you have work. You get home after work and you study and get 3 hours of sleep. Prepare a week before the test, if you are able to request off of work then do so. The main point is that we all know the struggle. Do not drain yourself out and with managing your crazy work and school schedule do not forget to make time for yourself to have a breather.
