Inside Playa Bowls at the Promenade Shops Center Valley

A little under a month ago, the Promenade Shops in Center Valley opened a new restaurant, Playa Bowls. This will be the original Acái shop’s third location in the Lehigh Valley, with other locations in Easton and Bethlehem. On September 28th, the doors opened for the first time to a long line of people. The first fifty people in line to buy a bowl got theirs for free, so the wait was well worth it for them!

What’s so great about this location for us here at Penn State Lehigh Valley, is that campus is only about a minute away. Expect this to be the new upcoming lunch spot for students during common hour – or even after class – for a quick bite to eat. Students too busy with clubs to go out during common hour, don’t worry. Playa Bowls Promenade also has a student Happy Hour! Any student who brings their I.D. between 2-5 PM will receive 10% off their entire order!

The surf shop vibe gives that nice summer feeling so it’s a great place to go during these cold months. The restaurant offers a variety of foods – from Acái Bowls to Poke Bowls, along with oatmeal, smoothies, and more. You walk in and feel like you’re at the beach, and who doesn’t love that?
